An excellent, but long, interview (by Mark Steyn) with Douglas Murray, author of The Strange Death of Europe. Worth watching, except for the end where it limps to an unspoken conclusion.
Let me spell out the conclusion – or the only two options. Either the West submits to Islam, or there will be civil war. We are past the point where any other option is possible.
Which will it be? For years, I held strongly to the view that Europe would be wracked by civil wars as the people finally woke up and put an end to the cultural degradation that their politicians had so ignorantly enabled.
Now? I’m no longer so sure. The moral fibre of the people – the will to survive and to leave a decent heritage to their children, as it was left to them – is no longer much in evidence. We have two generations enfeebled, not just morally, but intellectually. They lack direction and any sense of purpose to their lives. Islam can give them that. In exchange, they will have to give up human rights, tolerance, mutual respect, common decency, separation of church and state, and free speech.
They seem willing to do just that.
South America is beginning to look as though it could become the last bastion of Western civilisation. Like the Asians, they shake their heads in wonder at Europe’s folly in letting in Muslim migrants.
