Creation, Regulation, Destruction

July 13, 2018 By Philip Barton

Regulations are presented as mechanisms to ensure that the market is fairer.  In truth, they are a mechanism to enrich either those who authorise them, or favoured interests.

They serve the secondary goal of ensuring that the Deplorables (those who wish to work and produce wealth) are kept in their place and that the business of government is maintained in what are judged to be sound hands – those of the people crafting the regulations.  In this capacity, regulations are the pillars that support the maintenance of Lords and Serfs, albeit not using such politically incorrect terms.

Regulations are most strongly supported by those to whom they do the most harm.

As mentioned before in this blog: people build civilizations, governments destroy them.  Regulations are the mechanism by which they achieve this.
