We still have what is called a mainstream media (MSM), but they are no longer the big names of yesterday. Newspapers, even those that have gone online, have failed the transit from the 20th century. Paper News is even less credible than Paper Money.
Now, it is Facebook and Twitter etc. that are the mainstream. The problem is that they suffer from the same malaise, albeit in a more modern format.
The real problem is rather basic: neither the old nor the new MSM represent the mainstream. They are all, to one degree or another, fringe-dwelling nihilists pandering to violent extremists.
Many years have been spent mocking the MSM, but the whole western world desperately need an accessible medium that represents the mainstream.
The US is the land of the entrepreneur. Come on guys; the world never needed you more. MINDS has just launched, but I haven’t figured out how to use it yet.
Don’t forget you entrepreneurs – we need it for the mainstream, not just the tech literati.
