The Donald Trump presidency has introduced a welcome tone to what passes as public debate and White Hats are confronting Black Hats in the government, the intelligence agencies and the media.
It is a fight at the highest levels that pits enormously powerful and entrenched forces against the judicial and moral authority of decent people of integrity.
The media scream loudly the ‘scandalous’ utterances of Trump, seemingly unaware that the majority of the public are delighted that for the first time in decades, someone is standing up to the BS and giving voice to their thoughts. The more that the media wail, the higher goes Trump’s approval rating. They just don’t get it. Even the black vote is turning. The media remind me of the Black Knight in the Monty Python sketch. They believe that they are being scratched by Trump, while the fact is that he is destroying their credibility. Without that, they are no more influential than supermarket shopping sheets.
The ascension of Donald Trump to the presidency has turned into a make or break point for the US. The rest of the world is watching. Can he succeed in dismantling such a deeply corrupt plutocracy?
The mercenary masked thugs of Antifa and the Hollywood bimbos (male and female) are the rear-guard of a despotic system that has grown ever more powerful and evil. If it is not vanquished now, then the world will reach a very dark place.
Most of us did not realise how great The Donald would turn out to be. While I drank champagne when he won, it was mostly because Hillary lost. Now, I am cautiously excited – cautious because he surely runs the risk of assassination.
Trump has risen ten notches in my regard for him. He has borne the lies, pejoratives, fake news and non-stop threats of violence with more courage and chutzpah (yes, and humour) than we had any right to expect.
Still though, none of it will matter in the longer term if the denouement of fiat is not offset by the return to circulating Gold.
