Simple Economic Facts

April 2, 2019 By Philip Barton

Tuesday

Those governments that tax and regulate little, don’t excessively hinder wealth creation. (free market)

Those that tax and regulate too much, hinder the economy. (mixed economy)

Those that tax away all incentive and regulate everything, destroy the economy and destroy also, not just prosperity, but the ability to survive. (socialism)

Widespread prosperity is the hallmark of a free market.

Business cycles with a falling standard of living are the hallmark of a mixed economy.

Starvation is the hallmark of socialism.

Left in peace and with access to Gold (and its surrogate, silver), people will flourish and prosper.  Denied that, they end up impoverished and starving – either over generations via the mixed economy, or quickly via socialism.
