Sunday
Never mind what the truth is; it is the general perception of truth that matters. They are different.
Some of the current perceptions of truth:
1 Prosperity is permanent,
2 debt notes are money, and
3 humanity is doomed because of global warming.
Never in the history of the world have perceptions of truth been so divorced from reality. Thus:
1 If prosperity is permanent, then why not socialism – a more evenly divided share of the permanent prosperity?
2 If debt notes are money, then why not print as many as are necessary to make everything free?
3 If we are doomed by carbon dioxide caused global warming then what is the point of worrying about the future? If there is no future, then the foundational institutions of Western Civilization are irrelevant. Worse, they are an impediment to a jolly good time for one and all.
A terrible day of reckoning is due. Billions will die and no amount of prepping will make anyone safe. And who wants to live in a world returned to the Stone Age?
Peace and prosperity (and morality and sanity) will not return until Gold circulates. It was Gold that dragged us out of savagery and only Gold that can stop us falling back into it.
It is just over one hundred years since Gold was withdrawn from circulation and the long, slow collapse began. Trying to remedy the current chaos without a return to Gold is an exercise in futility.
