It will take Australians a long time to forgive the Greens for the damage that they have wrought to Australia this Christmas.
Hundreds of homes across the Eastern States have been burnt to the ground and many people have lost their lives in the most dreadful circumstances imaginable. Even for those that survived, and with properties intact, their once-a-year family holidays have been ruined.
And now we have the Greens explaining (Greensplaining?) that the fires are due to (wait for it) Global Warming!
The fires have one simple and obvious cause. The burn-off of the undergrowth in the winter and early spring months has been made so difficult to get approval for that it has not been done for years. The result was written in stone that one summer there would be a monstrous conflagration. Well, that summer is now here and there is still a lot of burning to go, with the likely loss of more properties and lives.
Should we wish to know how to brew soy lattes, then to turn to the Greens would be sensible. In the matter of forest management, we would be wiser to defer to the traditional land-owners of Australia.
There have been other guilty parties, including State and Federal politicians and the senior management of the fire-brigades that sat on their fat salaries while the dangers grew ever worse. It was their own heroic fire-fighters that they then directed into a dangerously unwinnable fight.
But it is the Greens who are most to blame. May they rot in their holier-than-thou hell.
PS I have no idea at this stage whether my own house has survived as the road back has been blocked by fire-fighters.
The people in the bush are directing a lot of anger against the Greens. I found this YouTube at The Wentworth Report…
