How bad is the economy? From the first day of the forcible closure of business I have written about the scale of the disaster that governments have unleashed.
The economy was already failing, and I don’t mean just major economies, but the world economy. The interlinked nature of the global economy means that they now rise and fall in unison.
Yes, governments have proved that they can shut down an economy, but business is now showing that they cannot restart it again. That is the prerogative of entrepreneurs and business people who conceptualise and risk enormous sums of capital to bring their concepts into the material world.
Governments ruined the economy by destroying certainty. They made it impossible for entrepreneurs and business people to predict.
We have reached the end of the line. The ‘modern world’ has now become the ‘past world’. What is the future? Only time will tell, except to say that it will be a time of great disorder.
Get out of the cities.
