Adding to the very real problems of food shortages and the imminent collapse of the world’s debt-based ‘money’ system, is that nation states have a long tradition of lashing out at ‘enemies’ in times of stress. Conjuring up foreign bogey-men is the standard way of diverting people’s attention elsewhere; anywhere that obscures the fact that it is their own government’s incompetence that has brought the nation to ruin.
The following extraordinary piece of jingoistic sabre-rattling turned up this week. Such shrill desperation implies that China’s internal problems are coming to a head. It is not just the egregious human rights abuses in Xinjiang and Tibet, or the ghastly barbarism of forced organ harvesting, it is the stubborn ignorance, the refusal to understand that central planning of the economy had not, does not and can never work.
Xi JinStalin may be beginning to regret focusing so much power and attention upon himself.
China’s failure will be seen as his failure. That is not entirely fair, but he has made the situation considerably worse.
