The next twelve months will be hard for those who are unprepared.
The price of energy will go even higher. When the price of energy rises, then so does the price of everything, because everything has to be transported.
The three main factors working to increase the price of food are:
1 Energy price rises mean that fertilizer is going to (has already in most places) increase in price dramatically.
2 Those same high energy costs means that transporting food is going to be much more costly.
3 Droughts, floods and crop failures around the world mean that food shortages will persist; it won’t be just China. In south-east Australia, we are having an exceptionally cold start to summer. My house still has a day and night log fire burning and we are on the cusp of summer! Will it persist? If it does, we are going to have our own crop shortages.
Not only are petrol prices increasing substantially, it could well be that there will be shortages – petrol stations with no petrol.
Do you have a good stock of long shelf life food put away?
Do you have a supply of clean water?
Do you have access to firewood for cooking?
Do you have a developed garden?
Do you have any livestock?
It is now 19months (March 2020) since governments around the world acted in concert to destroy the world economy. In my long life, it is the only time that I have seen governments be successful at anything.
Please open your eyes and see what is in front of your face. The world has changed and it is a change very much for the worse.
Do you have a sensible plan for how you are going to survive the next 12 months?
