Tuesday
The world is spiralling down, by any measure that matters.
The U.S. is lashing outwards; raging at its international impotence while desperately trying to distract attention from its internal incompetence. China turns inwards, its economy, currency and population in freefall.
The E.U. and U.K. will have less and less interest in side-shows like the Ukraine adventure. They have squandered their defence stockpiles and credibility on the pitifully optimistic attempts to inflict damage on Russia. They have also squandered their major energy source in a recklessly move that has doomed the people of Europe to an appalling winter of deprivation such as they have not experienced in the last few hundred years.
The E.U. and U.K. must now try to solve the problems that their naïve political ‘leaders’ have brought about. They will not be able to. Russia goes from strength to strength, while the E.U. and U.K. are reverting to pre-19th century status. Why? Because they were instructed to by the Americans. The E.U. and U.K. remain wholly unprepared for what their own supine and inept machinations have brought about.
Governments will fall, one after the other; the process has already begun. The old ‘if it feels good, do it’ mentality will be replaced by more practical and life-enhancing policies. Mostly, it will be too little too late. One of the many outcomes of The Age of Irrationality is the dawning reality that he who has the ‘fossil’ fuel, and can defend it, rules the world.
What do the Americans do now? They have been completely outwitted by the Russians. And the CCP, now that it has brought Xi Jinping to heel, is no longer interested in external posturing.
For those reasons, we must look to a new location for the next diversion.
The Americans will bring about another flashpoint, and soon. They must divert the media moths to another bright light before they begin to question the loss of American money, armaments and prestige in the inglorious Ukraine fiasco. Coming so soon after the humiliation of Afghanistan, it is hard to avoid the conclusion that Ukraine marks the precise end point of the American era.
Meanwhile, currencies and economies continue to implode. Banks are wobbling.
The monetary shenanigans of the last fifty years would always have consequences. The fact that they persistently seemed such a long way off gave rise to complacency.
Well, now the consequences (a wonderful word… ‘with sequence’) are arriving.
It is going to get much, much worse.
If there are any left to chronicle the end of Western Civilization, they will snigger with disbelief at the myriad absurdities attendant to its downfall.
