In the West, the acceptance of preferred pronouns, optional genders and carbon dioxide causing climate change etc. was born of the belief that everything and anything is simply a matter of opinion. Nothing is objective; everything is subjective.
Those U.S. birthed political/cultural delusions were then exported into the international arena. They had some success in the Anglo/European world, but failed to gain much market share elsewhere.
The attempt to internationalize fantasy led the U.S. and N.A.T.O. to believe that they could begin a proxy war in Ukraine that would bring down Vlad Putin and destroy the Russian economy. All the while pretending that it was Russia who, had begun an unprovoked war. It was, and remains, an absurdity, but one that has left at least 100,000 Ukrainian parents bewailing the death of their conscripted child.
What the indulgence in this fantasy has achieved is to further the destruction of economies throughout the West, while strengthening not only the Russian economy, but their cultural cohesion. Putin has never been more popular (not just in Russia, but around the world) and, compared to the West, the Russian economy is doing well. It is also becoming less and less reliant on anything exported from the West.
In just two short years the Biden administration has destroyed not only Europe, but the Post-WW2 era of U.S. dominance. It has echoes of the Fall of Rome, when sexual perversions, including paedophilia, were rampant and Nero supposedly fiddled as it burned.
Deluded ‘progressive’ zealots are going to have a terminally hard time in a world where governments are no longer in a position to distribute largesse.
Life is, of course, always changing. It is usually slow and in incremental, hard-to-notice ways, except when viewed in life’s retrospectroscope (no such word, but there should be).
Occasionally, as now, it is change of an immediacy and magnitude sufficient to snap people out of their fantasies and smack them into the brick wall of reality.
That is where we are.
It is a pivotal moment in history. Be as prepared as is possible for change beyond anything that you have ever imagined.
Enjoy the ride.
