The E.U. cancellation of its gas and oil imports from Russia will cause the de-industrialization of the E.U. zone. The self-inflicted catastrophe will be a salutary example to the rest of the world. It should end, once and for all, the Green fantasy of a ‘perfect’ world that operates without oil based energy systems.
Europe will be reduced from a standard of living that would have been considered unimaginably high only 50 years ago, to a grinding poverty that will crush the delusions of those who have been pampered by a prosperity that they assumed was permanent.
The rest of the world will gape in astonishment at what the Europeans have done to themselves in pursuit of their fantastic Nirvana.
There will be major economic damage to the world economy with the loss of such a significant market and with the collapse of the E.U. debt. It is downsize time – of standards of living and of aspirations.
The Gretapocalypse is upon us.
