With regard to personal wealth creation, there are two primary options. Every era since 1,500 B.C. can be covered by one or the other. They are:
1 Hold Gold or,
2 hold real estate.
They are both long wave investments, lasting at least decades – sometimes centuries.
As entrepreneurial activity flourishes and societies strengthen and expand, so real estate is a wonderful investment and means to expand wealth, as well as creating a return on it (cash flow).
As governments then, inevitably and invariably, become more powerful and greedy and impose more and more wars, regulations and taxes, so businesses opportunities contract and, in time, societies begin to crumble. This is the time to sell real estate and to hold Gold.
Within these two genres are myriad lesser (but often more exciting and profitable) genres, but knowledge of the above two are the most important for wealth creation and retention.
We have just left behind the real estate wave and moved into the Gold wave.
Do not be caught playing yesterday’s game.
People build civilizations; governments destroy them.
We are now well and truly into the destruction phase.
