For those of us who loved what the U.S. once stood for, we are living in tragic times.
The dictator of Ukraine is about to be removed by his bumbling, war-mongering U.S. masters – if he’s lucky. Either that or he’ll be killed in another coup. There has to be someone to blame for yet another U.S. military disaster.
I cannot see how Ukraine can survive into 2025. A total surrender seems just a few months away.
All the patience of the Russians has been for nought and the time for negotiations has now passed. Zelensky has been wilfully complicit in the destruction of Ukraine. The population has been reduced from around 40m to around 18m.
Meanwhile, war with Iran is being brewed as a distraction from yet another military humbling. As if the recent Afghanistan defeat by the Taliban was not bad enough.
The U.S. will, of course, side with the Israelis. Iran are, reportedly, being supplied with the latest Russian anti-missile defences.
Any U.S. ships in the Mediterranean are in severe danger of being sunk – if not by Hezbollah, then by the Houtis or, possibly, Iran itself. I wouldn’t count out a ‘false flag’ sinking of a U.S. ship by the Israelis.
That would signal the denouement of this demented U.S. administration that has done so much harm to the world in general, not least of which to the U.S. itself.
It seems impossible to believe that the U.S. can ever recover its ‘light on the hill’ stature as the bastion of freedom and Western Civilization.
In the U.K., the sight of police beating peaceful protestors with truncheons brought to mind the saying “the beatings will continue until morale improves”. Vale Magna Carta.
Successive U.K. governments have made it clear to the population that only violence can stop the influx of migrants. Too bad that the culture has already been destroyed.
And now, even the mighty U.S.$ is being dethroned. By who? By the U.S. itself. With its reckless and criminal confiscation of Russian central bank assets – to the tune of US$300B – it has forced other governments to begin the long process of divesting themselves of US$s.
What are they replacing them with? Why, Gold of course. What else? The U.S. can say what it likes and do what it likes but it cannot devalue the Gold that you have safely hidden away.
And that return to Gold as the store of stable value is the silver lining to the story. That will be the “all’s well that ends well”.
But damn, there is a hell of a mess to go through before the benefits of that come to pass.
That is what is happening and, in the shorter term, it is far from pretty.
