From 1945 to 1991, I was a believer in and supporter of Pax Americana. Subsequent to 1991, the world saw the transition of Pax Americana into Bellum Americanum.
War is what we have had ever since. Now, the second-rate nature of the U.S. military – in terms of both manpower and armaments – has been exposed by the crushing of Ukraine and N.A.T.O. forces by a resurgent Russia. Yep, that same Russia who wanted nothing but peace with the West.
It was all so unnecessary. Russia did everything possible to avoid a war in Ukraine.
